Introduction to Nonprofit Operations and Supply Chain Management Research
摘要
Nonprofit operations and supply chain management is a growing area of research in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Due to its singular actors, the donors of in-kind, time, and cash, nonprofit supply chains are more complex than commercial ones. Moreover, the goals of nonprofit organizations (NPOs) managing this type of supply chain are varied and unique, suggesting that their strategic and operational policies and rules may also be distinct from those established for commercial operations and supply chains. This chapter summarizes the content of the whole volume by briefly describing the important work contributed by our many authors.
