HAI for Indications Beyond Colorectal Liver Metastases and Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma
摘要
The use of hepatic arterial infusion therapy extends beyond treatment of colorectal liver metastases and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Recent efforts have been directed toward other histologies including hepatocellular carcinoma and liver metastases from neuroendocrine tumors, breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer. While there are limited data at present, several studies are currently underway to better understand outcomes and the role of hepatic arterial infusion therapy in these populations. This chapter highlights the current indications for hepatic artery infusion therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma, neuroendocrine tumor liver metastases, breast cancer liver metastases, and pancreatic cancer liver metastases by providing a review of current data and highlighting areas of future investigation.
