This chapter outlines the survey requirements during construction, installation, and after construction for offshore access gangways placed on board a vessel or unit. During construction and before being placed in service, new gangways are to be subjected to acceptance tests and inspections at the manufacturing facility and on the vessel/unit to verify compliance with the requirements of this reference guide and Class approved plans.
