Research is the mother of knowledge, and as such, it should be sponsored and approached in university classrooms. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine the level of attitude towards research among undergraduate students in the career of education at three universities in Quito. It was determined globally and by sex (female or male). Its approach is quantitative, descriptive and with a transsectional field design. The population reached 856 students, and a sample of 496 was chosen: 273 women and 223 men. A survey was used as a data collection technique, and a questionnaire based on [16], with 17 statements, was used as an instrument to measure the indicators: self-evaluation, incidence of the teacher's attitude, and institutional incidence. The results determine that, globally, there is a “moderate” attitude of the students towards the research process. However, the students present a highly positive attitude in the indicators of self-evaluation and incidence of the teacher's attitude, which leads them to think that they have a positive propensity towards dedication and responsibility in their learning. Regarding the institutional incidence indicator, both men and women have a moderate attitude.

摘要
