Factors Influencing Strategic Alignment: A Moroccan Case Study
摘要
In the era of digital transformation, it is important to put on the table a topic that has been widely debated over the last decades and which continues to be discussed—we talk about “strategic alignment”. This remains a pertinent subject, particularly given Morocco’s focus on employing digital transformation to boost its economy. Our study proposes a systematized narrative review to examine strategic alignment in Morocco. The review incorporates key elements of a systematic review to ensure a formal and comprehensive analysis. This review marks the first known application of this approach in the Moroccan context. Furthermore, there are no existing reviews on the research state of strategic alignment in Morocco. As such, we offer this systematized narrative review to address this gap. To apply the systematized narrative review, we first, define the research questions and summarize the research process. Following that, we outline the criteria utilized to decide which articles are relevant to the study and which are not. Finally, we examine factors that impact BITA, including formal alignment (i.e., strategic and structural dimensions) and informal alignment (i.e., social and cultural dimensions) to address the research questions. Our research suggests a need for further investigation into the secondary sector of the economy. In addition, we found a dearth of studies on informal alignment in Morocco.
