Extended Reality (XR) and big data visualizations are increasingly central to a variety of industries, evolving beyond their initial application as gaming platforms. Despite the substantial promise of XR, its widespread adoption and integration have been impeded by a range of challenges. This workshop seeks to examine and discuss these obstacles, emphasizing solutions that utilize XR and big data visualizations within industrial contexts. The workshop will explore key research topics and project the future trajectory of XR in industrial environments. This preliminary research categorizes the challenges into three primary groups: Display, Interaction, and Collaboration. Addressing these dimensions aims to offer a comprehensive understanding of the current barriers and future opportunities in XR and big data visualization for industry.
