We will present and discuss some of the many general issues in the epistemology of sciences, with many examples taken from the development of mathematics and physics, as these sciences are the ones that most claim greater scientific rigor in their propositions, as well as in the criteria used to achieve true and universal knowledge. With the countless examples shown, we intend to demonstrate the historical and therefore provisional nature of scientific knowledge. In the final part of the chapter, we direct our concerns to technological knowledge, in an attempt to highlight its specificities and thus differentiate it from scientific knowledge, even though we know that in many fields of knowledge they are often confused and justify the use of the term technoscience, with a strong tendency towards a fusion of objectives.
