The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of online sales promotion tools on customer purchasing decisions in the context of the Jordan Telecom Company (Orange) in Amman, Jordan. A descriptive-analytical quantitative approach was employed to test hypotheses, address research questions, and achieve the study’s objectives. The target population consisted of two million individuals, representing all customers of the Jordanian Telecommunications Company (Orange) in Amman. To collect data, a questionnaire was utilized, and a sample of 503 customers was selected through random sampling. The results of the study indicated that sales activation methods, such as online contests, online coupons, online discounts, and social media platforms, had a positive impact on customer purchasing decisions at Orange Jordan Telecommunications Company in Amman. Among these methods, social media platforms were found to be the most influential and prominent in driving customer buying behavior, with a high level of significance. Drawing from the research, this study offers valuable knowledge and resources for businesses seeking to sway customer purchasing choices, not just within the telecommunications industry. The study suggests enhancing the online customer experience as a means to achieve this. To that end, the company could enhance its website by providing a user-friendly interface that caters to customer preferences. Furthermore, the company could develop unique designs and promote them through social media channels, offering coupons and discounts to capture customers’ interest and entice them, ultimately shaping their purchasing decisions.
