The Mediating Role of Medical Service Geographical Availability Between the Healthcare Service Quality and the Medical Insurance

This study argues that the quality of the medical care provided can influence patients’ perceptions and ideas about their medical insurance effectiveness and study the shapes of the relationship between quality of care and medical insurance through geographic availability is formed. A cross-sectional study was used; 232 respondents, who make up the study sample, had utilized healthcare services in Jordan. A structural equation modelling approach was applied. The results showed that healthcare service quality has a positive impact on medical insurance effectiveness; the same goes for geographical availability and medical insurance effectiveness; and the same goes for healthcare service quality and geographical availability. Geographical availability plays a partial mediating effect, the results demonstrate that the indirect impact of healthcare quality service on medical insurance effectiveness is considered significant.
