The Impact of Applying Principles of Corporate Governance (OECDG20) on the Continuity of Insurance Companies
摘要
Applying the principles of OECDG20 corporate governance to Jordanian insurance companies was the focus of the study, which aims to determine their impact on business continuity. Using a descriptive analytical approach, the study collected data from executive directors in Jordanian insurance companies using a questionnaire. The total sample size was 92 managers, all of whom were analyzed using the SPSS statistical analysis program. Results demonstrated a statistically significant effect of adhering to corporate governance principles (OECDG20) on the continuity of Jordanian insurance companies. Specifically, the principles of having an effective framework for corporate governance, institutional investors and stock markets, and disclosure and transparency were shown to have an impact. However, the principles of rights and equal treatment, the role of stakeholders, and the responsibilities of the board of directors were found to have no effect on continuity. The study recommends that companies prioritize shareholder satisfaction and remain adaptable to potential crises or changes in the future. Facilitating investment operations and attracting new shareholders is also advised.
