Insights into the ever-changing exploits of violent extremists in the digital realm are increasingly sought after due to the current security landscape, which has seen a surge in right-wing and jihadist movements. To delve into the intricate bond between communication technologies and the propagation of violent extremism, this study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, eschewing the use of case studies in favor of a nuanced subjective analysis. This approach enables an in-depth exploration of the diverse functions performed by different communication tools in advancing extremist beliefs. When opportunities present themselves, extremists tend to migrate to new platforms, according to the study's findings. While the internet is the foundation for numerous digital communication technologies, subsequent research ought to probe the aftermath of such modalities in the realm of radicalization and recruitment. Messaging applications, for example, probably elicit distinct results compared to forums and other social media portals.
