This chapter presents a closed form analytical solution for aerodynamic loads acting on a thick wing section. It introduces the concepts of the aerodynamic center and the leading-edge suction. It shows that the neglect of thickness hardly affects the integral aerodynamic loads acting on a wing section, but introduces a square-root singularity at its leading edge.

摘要
