Russia’s full-scale invasion has destroyed the European security architecture but also led to the EU candidate status for Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. With Belarus suspending its participation in the Eastern Partnership, the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with Armenia and a similar agreement being negotiated with Azerbaijan, the Eastern dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy is obsolete. This chapter looks at possible future developments and takes into consideration the regional perspectives on the war. New forms of cooperation are needed. The European Political Community is one possibility; however, this framework will sooner or later outlive itself. Therefore, other approaches should be explored. This chapter proposes a Greater European Council as a way forward, including present and former EU members, candidates, and others.
