Psychiatric disorders present multifaceted challenges, with impulsivity representing a core feature that intersects with various psychological conditions, particularly eating disorders. Emerging research suggests a potential link between vitamin D deficiency and impulsivity, as well as eating disorders, opening avenues for comprehensive understanding and intervention. This chapter explores the intricate relationships between vitamin D, impulsivity, and eating disorders within the context of psychiatric conditions. It synthesizes existing literature to elucidate potential mechanisms and clinical implications. Highlighting the importance of considering vitamin D status in assessment, treatment, and prevention strategies, this chapter calls for multidisciplinary collaboration and further research to advance our understanding and improve outcomes for individuals affected by impulsivity and eating disorders.
