This chapter describes the clinical features of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and what is already known about the traumatic effect of acute hospitalization. Then, after a short report on this same issue in previous pandemics, it discusses PTSD after COVID-19 hospitalization in terms of prevalence, individual predictors, contextual risk factors, and impact. Finally, specific matters of PTSD after COVID-19 hospitalization in migrants, as vulnerable population group, are addressed.
