Self-Esteem and Periodontal Disease
摘要
Research on the connection between psychological aspects and periodontal diseases is limited, yet it is crucial to understand the psychological well-being of individuals. Periodontal disease can affect self-esteem and quality of life and possibly vice versa. Recognizing that physical health and mental health are interrelated is crucial in a multidisciplinary context when treating patients. Early and effective periodontal disease detection can be achieved by studying the symbiotic relationship between self-esteem and periodontal disease diagnosis from an integrated health viewpoint.
