Extended reality(XR) technologies such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and mixed reality are widely used in various fields. They are increasingly used in organizational training interventions. This paper provides an overview of the most important XR applications used for organizational training. This paper first describes the extended reality technologies, their types and their real-world applications in the context of Industry 4.0, particularly organizational training. It then focuses on analysing their effects and comparing their effectiveness to the standard training methods in various domains.
