Antisemitism and Mental Health
摘要
Common to other types of oppression, antisemitism can impact mental health. However, in comparison to other groups, there is little research on the impact of antisemitism on the mental health of Jewish people or the interventions necessary to deal with it. Particularly notable is the American Psychological Association’s strategic plan to eliminate racism in all its forms does not mention antisemitism, the most frequent religious hate crime in the United States. It is essential for social workers to have an understanding of the impact of antisemitism, and all forms of oppression, on their clients’ and community’s mental health.
