Designing a highway bridge is a relative complex process. Consider different loads from design to construction. The vehicle load, one of the variation actions, is considered in many aspects during the planning of road bridges. And in the process of designing the highway bridge, the internal force calculation is related to the vehicle load tightly. However, the types and forms of vehicle load vary across different countries. This paper demonstrated the similarities and distinctions among Eurocode, AASHTO and Chinese specification regarding to the vehicle loads. The comparison is developed from the design lane, the position of the design lane, vertical loads, dynamic load allowance and the combination of the load. A series of charts are cited to explain the differences, and the following words are the summary of the differences and similarities of each specification. In general, the Eurocode has the most detailed about the vehicle load such as its combination of loads and the number of the lanes. In terms of the calculation example, the moment of Eurocode is the maximum, while the moment of AASHTO is the minimum.
