Brazil has 1039 wind energy production parks, comprising more than 11,000 wind turbines in operation. It can be stated, therefore, through a simple calculation that there are more than 33,000 wind blades in use. This work aimed to analyze how the Design Methodology based on Scientific Methodology (DMSM) method can contribute to studies of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Wind Rotor-blades (WRB). Scientific methods are considered in the analysis regarding Wind Blades, in the manufacturing, distribution, operationalization, maintenance and disposal phases. A bibliometric study was carried out, using the Publish or Perish application in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, selecting the areas of Production Engineering and Power Generation, for the period from 2013 to 2023. The keywords Project methodology, wind rotor- blades, life cycle, energy, were employed resulting in nine scientific studies which address the manufacture of wind blades, from which the content analysis was carried out. The survey method was applied: 30 specialists answered the interviews. In the questionnaire carried out remotely, 56.5% of respondents agreed that it is possible to apply the Design Methodology in Scientific Research and its growth was detected in research applied to the life cycle of wind blades. The Project Methodology can be well used in the feasibility study stage for 34.8% and 30.4% understand that the DMSM can be useful in identifying problems in the process of using wind blades and it is necessary to enhance WRB life cycle.
