The main concerns surrounding the management of this disease stem from the low risk of overall mortality associated with it, as well as the potential negative impact on patients’ quality of life as a consequence of active treatments [1]. In 2005, the concept of achieving a trifecta after RARP, which includes cancer control, potency, and urinary continence, was introduced [2]. Over time, this concept evolved into the pentafecta, as described by Patel et al., where complications and surgical margin status were added to the three primary variables traditionally reported [3]. Recognizing the significance of postoperative outcomes, our attention in this chapter was focused on optimizing urinary continence after RARP. In particular, we delve into a comprehensive and detailed explanation of an anterior approach to preserve the Retzius space, widely recognized as the hood technique [4].
