With the war now concluded and freedom restored, Algerian cinema, which had played a significant role in the fight for independence, embarked on a new endeavor: the establishment of a strong national film industry. This effort hinged on an extraordinary legacy, encompassing a network of 450 cinema theaters unparalleled in Africa, a diverse and effective distribution system, skilled technicians, and, most importantly, an enthusiastic and dedicated audience deeply passionate about the Seventh Art.
