Intangible Cultural Heritage: Challenges and Expectations
摘要
Using the example of the canto a tenore Sardinian pastoral songs the article examines four central aspects of intangible cultural practices. (1) the human body as medium, (2) practices of communication and interaction, (3) mimetic learning and practical knowledge, (4) the performativity of cultural practices. Based on this analysis the article examines ten central elements of intangible cultural practices, such as producing culture, enabling identification, dealing with difference, overcoming crises and imparting practical knowledge.
