Usually, in Italy when a client asks us how to file a trademark registration our suggestion is to try to make a previous assessment of which kind of trademark protection is preferable, not only from a territorial point of view by, for example filing a national trademark or an European or international one designating some certain States but also about the categories of products and services related to its business and to the idea of business expansion in the short to medium term.
