The transformation of the image generation with the advent of Generative AI (GAI) prompts a reevaluation of creativity in architectural design process. This study investigates the creative capacity of architectural prompts and their corresponding images during the conceptual design phase. The study reveals a consensus among design experts on creative capacity of GAI designs, but a notable divergence with AI ratings of creativity. The findings also reveal that prompt complexity, prompt structure, prompt length, and descriptive power of prompts especially formulated in design-related language critical to architectural creativity.
