Equivalents of a Dream
摘要
This concluding chapter looks at two figures who are inextricably important in the character of Pavane, and who would go on to play a similarly vital role in much of the fiction that came after. These two are the artist, Paul Nash, probably the most important artistic influence in Roberts’s life and the person who perhaps introduced Roberts to the symbolic importance of Dorset; and the figure dubbed the multigirl, who would represent the eternal and universal feminine in all of Roberts’s work.
