The pandemic has disrupted traditional teaching landscapes, forcing the education sector to rapidly shift to remote learning. Schools and universities have had to make significant adjustments to ensure continuity of education. However, the transition has been fraught with challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, lack of digital literacy, teacher preparedness, and the digital divide. Smart education refers to the integration of technology and education to offer flexible and adaptive learning experiences. It enables teachers to personalize learning, making it more engaging, interactive and effective for students. The use of technology encourages active engagement, multi-dimensional learning, and collaboration. In this paper, 120 students who took the courses during and after COVID-19 participated in a study survey to better understand the effectiveness of both in-person and online learning through quantitative research. Through this study, we would like to determine the readiness of students to accept smart education and whether educational institutions have the necessary infrastructure to support this kind of learning.
