“Exploring the Rehabilitation Strategies Aiding the Well-Being of Acid Attack Survivors in India”

This qualitative study explores the manifold perspectives of rehabilitation strategies promising to aid the well-being of acid attack survivors. The rehabilitation provided by organizations and medical institutions aim to habilitate the survivors for life although understanding the efficacy of rehabilitation services and introducing necessary revisions and alterations to it stands an essential ground. To study this gap revolving around the existing rehabilitation strategies for vitriol warriors. Acid attack survivors were interviewed, and the interactions were thematically analysed. The key findings demonstrate the lack of accessibility of services. NGOs aid effectively in vocational training fostering involvement in income generation activities for survivors, suggestions for improvement were recorded part of which medical service from government hospitals exhibited an upsurge in need of betterment because of the complex service system, A wide dissatisfaction with the legal services were noted, legal reformation perspectives were noted. Further banes arose to light in this study which can be adapted to witness the advancement of rehabilitation strategies in the future.
