This study aims to investigate and compare the reported stress, test anxiety, and emotion regulation levels of non-migrant and migrant college students residing in Bengaluru. The participants included 208 students. The questionnaire method was used for collecting the data. Responses to The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), The Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI) scale, and the Emotional Regulation using Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) were collected online. The results show a significant difference in the perceived stress levels and test anxiety levels of test anxiety worry and test anxiety emotionality between migrant students and non-migrant students. But there is no significant difference in the emotion regulation strategies between migrant students and non-migrant students. Pearsons correlation analysis revealed that, Perceived stress is positively correlated with total test anxiety, test anxiety worry, and test anxiety emotionality. A weak positive correlation between perceived stress and emotion regulation strategies (cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression). A moderate, positive correlation was observed between TAI Total and CR, TAI Total and ES, TAI Emotionality and CR and TAI Emotionality and ES. A weak positive correlation was observed between TAI Worry and CR and TAI Worry and ES. The results highlight the necessity for college campuses to offer tools and assistance programs that adapt to the particular requirements of migrant students in adjusting to their new surroundings and lowering their stress and anxiety levels.
