This study seeks to assess the influence of digital awareness campaigns on traffic safety in Bahrain, highlighting their preventive efficacy and impact on driver security. It examines campaigns conducted via an Instagram account, analyzing the strategies employed by the General Directorate of Traffic. The research underscores the link between digital awareness initiatives and societal attitudes towards traffic violations, along with their outcomes. A descriptive methodology was employed, involving a public survey divided into three sections. The first section collects participants’ personal data, the second identifies factors capturing audience attention, and the third assesses individuals’ influence and social responsibility. The study, encompassing 207 participants from various demographic categories, classified respondents by age groups (18–20, 20–30, and 30 and above) and gender to discern awareness levels. Educational background played a significant role, with those holding higher qualifications demonstrating greater perception than those with lower education levels. Additionally, college students with diplomas or higher degrees showed an intermediate understanding. The findings indicate that Bahraini audiences are significantly influenced by societal norms and awareness campaigns, particularly individuals aged 30 and above. It stresses the importance of disseminating knowledge across various digital platforms beyond traffic campaigns alone, to avoid audience fragmentation. While acknowledging that participants may not represent the entire Bahraini population, the study suggests shared beliefs regarding traffic violations. Furthermore, the efforts of the Traffic Ethics Directorate have yielded positive results, contributing to behavioral changes and increased awareness among drivers.
