Optimizing Water Usage in Agriculture: A Study on Automated Irrigation Systems Using Humidity Sensors and Arduino Uno
摘要
In today’s world, agriculture is becoming increasingly important and the biggest challenge it faces is water scarcity. To address this issue, we propose an automated irrigation system. Maintaining proper soil moisture levels is crucial for plant health and water conservation in both agricultural and urban gardening practices. This study introduces a system that utilizes a humidity sensor and Arduino Uno microcontroller to automate irrigation. By constantly monitoring soil moisture levels, the system aims to improve watering schedules and promote efficient water usage. Automated irrigation systems have become essential in tackling water scarcity and optimizing resource usage, as well as boosting agricultural productivity. The paper delves into the various sensor technologies, data-driven methods, and control strategies that contribute to the effectiveness and sustainability of automated irrigation. In this research we are using humidity sensor which senses the humidity level of soil and compared with the predetermined value and Arduino Uno which controlling the system.
