Scholarly studies have demonstrated that nanotechnology has grown significantly in various fields. Hence, nanotechnology has become an intriguing field of scientific advancement. On the other hand, the cultural heritage in Egypt requires a conservation process, according to the latest available scientific methods, due to its significant value. In this context, this study assumed that using nanotechnology material could effectively enhance the conservation process. Therefore, this study tries to identify a specific proposal that could be implemented to avoid heritage building conservation problems through a case study of the Cafe Riche building facade in Khedival Cairo. To achieve the study objective, it would go through a process that will start by simulating the current building’s environmental condition. Then, determine the current material used. After that, the current problem could be listed based on the two mentioned. Finally, the proposal of using nanotechnology would be established, knowing that nanomaterials would be selected according to the current case study situation, which could determine the purpose of the intervention. Consequently, it would contribute to the sustainability of the conservation process. The findings will present the role of the contribution of nanomaterials in promoting the conservation of heritage building facades.

摘要
