The preservation of historical landscapes holds significant value in the context of cultural heritage, and it has been demonstrated that creative practices play a pivotal role in this endeavor. This study presents a case study analysis of Al-Kalha Steps, situated in the city center of Amman, Jordan, and examines the role of creative activities in the preservation of its historical significance and the enhancement of communal bonding. This study investigates the various forms of practices that have been applied within the past century. It emphasizes the transformative impact of these practices on the progression of historical steps, ultimately contributing to the cultural heritage power of the landscape. Furthermore, this study evaluates the impact of various artistic methodologies on the sense of personal identity and their efficacy in preserving both tangible and intangible cultural assets. The research methodologies employed in this study encompassed researchers’ observations, aimed at comprehending the various scenarios of practices, and literature in alignment with the framework provided by UNESCO to assess Al-Kalha Steps as a historical landscape. The study’s findings offer valuable insights into the significance of creative practices in the conservation of historical landscapes and their influence on the local community.
