This study presents a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of an aircraft wheel washer machine. Design and performance analyses were optimized. The aim of this study is to investigate the fluid dynamics and flow properties in the wheel washer and to identify potential improvement areas. Various design parameters such as nozzle size, nozzle placement and spray angle were evaluated to optimize the efficiency of cleaning the aircraft rim and minimize water consumption. The results obtained from the CFD simulations offer quantitative data on the effectiveness of the wheel washer machine in removing contaminants from the aircraft wheels. Also, the analysis helps in identifying regions of recirculation and stagnation, leading to potential design modifications to improve fluid flow and cleaning performance.
