Students in artistic disciplines commonly master computer-based image-generation techniques. In this context, it has become urgent for art students to acquire logical thinking and knowledge in CG production through programming. This paper discusses introductory CG education aimed at learning CG algorithms using ChatGPT. It explains two methods of using ChatGPT in exercises and introduces student works based on these methods. The survey results related to this class are presented, along with an analysis and discussion summary. These results highlight three practical aspects of the lecture and exercises: enhancing interest in image generation, effectiveness in describing algorithms in Japanese, and enhancement of logical thinking through CG artwork creation.
