Two methods of angle trisection using algebraic curves of degree six, Ceva trisectrix and quadrifolium, which to the best of the author’s knowledge have not yet been published, are presented in the paper. These results are based on the findings of the Czech mathematician and grammar school teacher J. R. Vaňaus in the field of the use of an oblique strophoid to trisect an angle, which dates back to the end of 19th century.

摘要

Two methods of angle trisection using algebraic curves of degree six, Ceva trisectrix and quadrifolium, which to the best of the author’s knowledge have not yet been published, are presented in the paper. These results are based on the findings of the Czech mathematician and grammar school teacher J. R. Vaňaus in the field of the use of an oblique strophoid to trisect an angle, which dates back to the end of 19th century.
