The Effects of Climate Change on Contemporary Urban Coastlines
摘要
Climate has a significant impact on human well-being, particularly in coastal areas where meteorological elements affect communities. Understanding the influence of the atmospheric environment on human comfort is crucial for planning the city-sea interface, considering factors such as leisure activities, tourist industry, energy production, land use management and ecological issues. Integrated climate risk management is becoming increasingly important in this context. However, awareness of climate risks varies between stakeholders, with non-experts often underestimating potential impacts. Bridging this gap is essential for effective participatory coastal planning, as lack of climate awareness is a major challenge to effective management of maritime risks.
