Conclusion: Brave Women in Afghanistan and Beyond
摘要
Afghan women are a rare force on the frontline fighting the Taliban and their extremist ideology. This ideology has taken away their status as humans not only in society, but also in their homes and private spaces. The case of Afghanistan reveals the importance of supporting women’s fight for rights, even in the most dire humanitarian and human rights situations. In this chapter, Farkhondeh Akbari describes the ways in which the rights of Afghan women and girls have been impacted under Taliban rule, including the intersectional challenges faced by Hazara women. She also presents key examples of how women and girls have engaged in resistance and describes the importance of shining a light on their struggles.
