This chapter considers the UK’s post-Brexit Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) focusing specifically on the services and digital elements of these treaties because of their importance to the UK’s services/digital dominated economy. The chapter outlines relevant provisions of the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement as well as other concluded FTAs, including those with Australia and New Zealand the sector-specific Singapore Digital Economy Agreement. It then explores the services/digital elements of the anticipated UK-India FTA as well as the mega-regional Comprehensive Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). While the UK has made much progress in negotiating these FTAs, further efforts will be required to resolve some of the ongoing difficulties, including the fuller recognition of professional qualifications of services suppliers and resistance to free flow of digital transmissions as a consequence of concerns over data privacy.
