The Social Justice Implications of Jolts on the Marketplace
摘要
Market women experience all different kinds of jolts that we have categorized into four (4) types. When these jolts occur, different groups in particular the market women face proportionate risks and hardships as this is also suggested by the intersectionality theory. This chapter is laid out as follows: firstly, we defined the concept and briefly provided an overview of social justice and social injustice; secondly, we discussed how the 4 types of jolts lead to social injustice among market women; and finally, we proposed a conceptual framework that explains how the jolts that market women in Ghana face can be alleviated and enhance their level of social justice.
