Cerebral malformations are estimated to affect in 2–3 per 1000 pregnancies [1–3] [Boyd, Boyle, Groen] and are among the commonest reasons for terminations of pregnancy [4, 5] [Valnin, Aslan], with some abnormalities having a genetic substrate [6–11] [Xiang, Encha, Best, Normand, Clark, Glinianaia].
