This chapter explores the key elements and potential benefits of smart food security through new literature collected from sources such as researchgate, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Sciences etc. Smart food security integrates advancements such as precision agriculture, Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, and artificial intelligence to optimize agricultural practices, to minimize food losses, and to enhance food quality. The application of smart food security extends beyond the farm. Digital technologies enable traceability and transparency in the food supply chain, ensuring the safety and quality of food products. In conclusion, smart food security presents a transformative approach to address the complexities of food security.
