This chapter provides a brief overview of the roles of power electronics in modern power systems, the fundamental control strategies employed by grid-forming and grid-following converters, and the control strategies used in multi-converter microgrid systems. Moreover, the stability framework for converter-dominated systems, the averaging model for grid-connected converters, and the relationship between the converters’ complex behavior and power system stability are also clarified in this chapter.

摘要

This chapter provides a brief overview of the roles of power electronics in modern power systems, the fundamental control strategies employed by grid-forming and grid-following converters, and the control strategies used in multi-converter microgrid systems. Moreover, the stability framework for converter-dominated systems, the averaging model for grid-connected converters, and the relationship between the converters’ complex behavior and power system stability are also clarified in this chapter.
