The chapter proposes an initial description for framing UX design practice. It is characterised in terms of everyday language. It comprises—framing, as application of structures; framework, as application of structures for frame and framing; approach, as application of structures having scope, structure and perspective; method, as application of types of method structures; case study, as application of structures to organise a case study report; framing UX, as application of UX structures; UX framework, as application of UX structures for UX frame and UX framing; UX approach, as application of UX structures having scope, structure and perspective; UX method, as the application of UX method structures; UX case study, as application of UX structures to organise a UX case study report. Together they constitute the basis for the initial UX description to be carried forward for application to the UX practitioner source material in later chapters.
