Simulation Study on Titanium Addition to Cu-Al-Ni Shape Memory Alloy in Rotary Joint Property of Redundant Articulated Robot
摘要
Shape memory alloys (SMA) are expansively applied within the robotics industry due to their substantial development in this decade. In this research paper, Cu-Al-Ni SMA is a new-fangled material designated for the design of a redundant articulated robot (RAR) with Titanium (Ti) addition. During the construction of the Solidworks CAD model that incorporates MATLAB/Simscape Multibody, the RAR components are given the modified SMA material. By using Simscape Multibody simulation of the RAR system block scheme, it is possible to identify the motion dynamic property torque applied at robot joints. The outcomes of the Simscape simulation demonstrated the suitability of using Cu-Al-Ni SMAs with the inclusion of titanium in developing RAR based on the observations of dynamic properties.
