Conceptual Development of a Mobile Application for Digital Storytelling and Awareness in Project Areas Aided by CHRIST, Delhi NCR
摘要
The advent of digital technology has transformed the way information is disseminated and stories are shared, offering a unique opportunity to drive awareness and social change. This paper introduces the conceptual development of a mobile application aimed at fostering digital storytelling and promoting awareness in project areas supported by CHRIST in Delhi, NCR. The mobile application is centered around the concept of digital storytelling, a powerful method of conveying narratives through multimedia elements such as images, videos, and interactive content. By integrating this approach with the mission of CHRIST to empower marginalized project areas, the application becomes a tool for amplifying the voices of these communities and shedding light on their unique challenges, experiences, and successes. Key features of the application include a user-friendly interface that allows community members to create and share their stories, enriched with multimedia elements that capture the essence of their narratives. These stories can range from personal anecdotes to community-wide initiatives, thus promoting inclusivity and fostering a sense of belonging. The application also facilitates interaction among users through comments, likes, and shared experiences, creating a virtual space for dialogue and collaboration. Moreover, the application serves as a vehicle for raising awareness about pertinent social issues. CHRIST’s involvement in the project areas positions the institution as a catalyst for change, and the application extends this impact by educating a wider audience. With the ability to reach beyond geographical constraints, the application becomes a platform for advocacy, enabling users to grasp the multifaceted dimensions of challenges faced by marginalized communities.
