Some connections between Grothendieck’s work and model theory are briefly explored here: stability (early versions connected with Grothendieck’s work in Functional Analysis), Galois-theoretic model theory and connections between Grothendieck-style Galois theory and model theory, accessible categories (and abstract elementary classes), and recent work on Hrushovki’s “core” of a first order theory and higher stability theory.
