In India, women have always been treated as equal partners in the growth of the country, and various efforts have been made to empower women in the financial background, social traditions, and emotional factors. This systematic review is unusual in that it brings together studies on the effects of a variety of factors on women in leadership and entrepreneurship in India. Its purpose is to investigate the key factors motivating female entrepreneurs and leaders, as well as to develop a conceptual model of the primary social and cultural factors impacting women’s success in obtaining senior leadership roles or leading firms. In addition, despite all of the empowering programs and initiatives, this study suggests some new research venues to address the existing lack of empirical work on women’s leadership in India. It includes papers that apply quantitative and qualitative approaches from databases such as Google Scholar, Research Gate, ProQuest, and Shodhganga. The study uses a set of inclusion and exclusion criteria to search databases and select a large number of high-quality publications to analyze. Twelve items were chosen after the duplicates were removed. From a practical aspect, this study is important because it summarises and analyses all factors that influence women’s empowerment in leadership roles, and it aims to create a proper model for a large number of women empowerment drivers in the Indian context.
