The Kerala landscape and weather are highly conducive to cultivating cardamom and black pepper, two widely sought-after spices. After production, these products need to be distributed efficiently to meet demand, both domestically and internationally. While many supply chain models exist, they typically focus on the movement of goods from farmers to consumers. However, None offer guidance on pre-harvesting practices for farmers or address the specific needs of the cardamom and black pepper supply chains. Therefore, the primary objective of this paper is to propose the implementation of a pyramid model for the supply chain management of cardamom and black pepper. Primary data were gathered directly from farmers, and the chi-square test was utilized to comprehensively assess the challenges encountered by farmers in the context of the supply chain. The primary finding indicated that factors such as farmers’ education level, land size, and logistical challenges significantly contribute to their supply chain issues. In response to these challenges, the implementation of the pyramid model supply chain was proposed as a viable solution. To address agricultural challenges comprehensively, merely focusing on production plans and methods for fruits and vegetable cultivation is insufficient to sustain the entire business cycle. A robust supply chain model is indispensable. Hence, this paper introduces the implementation of the pyramid model for an effective supply chain management system.
