Supply chain and logistics management has always been facing issues related to recruitment, retention, and development of the skilled workforce. This research has provided ‘human resource related’ challenges and also tried to examine the causes that contribute to the shortage of the workforce concerned with lack of qualification & education, technological advancements, training gaps, industry complexity, turnover and retention challenges, and globalization. In the research, it was found that the defined causes have impacted various activities such as accuracy and quality, operational disruptions, reduced productivity, customer service, innovation, capacity, and risk management. This research may help HR managers, policymakers, and research scholars who work in the field of supply chain and logistics management.
